Othram, Inc. is a state-of-the-art DNA laboratory founded in 2018 by David Mittelman (Ph.D), a geneticist and biochemist from Houston. Othram, Inc. have played a significant role in identifying a record number of unidentified human remains cases, as well as solving hundreds of decades-old, high profile cold-case murders. Othram’s proprietary process known as Forensic-Grade Genome Sequencing™ is used to identify a source of DNA through sometimes very distant relatives, usually in a matter of 12-24 weeks. Forensic-Grade Genome Sequencing™ enables forensic professionals to break through once impenetrable DNA barriers and unlock information from evidence that was previously unusable. Othram aims to revolutionize how forensic cases are solved, how justice is served, and how families are mended.
MISSION:
From 2018-2019, Othram, Inc. operated primarily behind the scenes, supporting a handful of law enforcement and government agencies in identifying both unknown perpetrators of capital crimes as well as identifying unidentified human remains. In 2019, with the goal of creating a national public profile for the company, Othram, Inc. enlisted the services of Publicity South to help spread the news of their technology and its many successes through a myriad of media channels, such as digital and print media outlets, radio and television appearances, and podcast interviews.
